What a cool Week 8 Room 1 had last week!

Room 1 is cool place to be because...

As a class we loved having our Japanese students in our class and sharing their origami talents.

And finally on Tuesday we had many photo shots to say good bye.

We came first for the top class for selling raffle tickets and this followed our first place for bringing the most Easter Eggs which definitely means Manaakitanga is a live and well in Room 1.

We had a special lunch on Wednesday - chips n bread and ice cream with waffers for our double reward thanks to MI Mates and Mrs Tesselaar.

We also got to our 50 points for a Class Reward on Thursday (yet to be decided).

Finally, Room 1 had their first Student-Led conferences over two days. These were awesome and many parents were very impressed with Room 1 student's knowledge about their learning.

We welcome our Makuhari students last Friday

Room 1 have been busy in class showing our Japanese visitors some of our learning. We showed them how to play naughts and crosses for PE, we had a photo hanging off the playground and played a Japanese Paper, Scissors, Rock.

Congratulations to Aljual who won the Japanese Paper, Scissors, Rock tournament.

Please add two comments.

1. Comment on why it is important to get to know and understand other cultures in our world.
2 Add a special 'Moment in Time' with our Japanese.
