As we take this ANZAC journey all students have been recording their learning in a Goggle Slide and once completed will be on their individual Blogs.
Room 1 students have been given the challenge to record below their most interesting fact about ANZAC...enjoy our learning below.
I have learnt about lots of thing related to ANZAC like the food they ate and always ate it cold and they had rashions (I thought it was the chips but it is not) I also learnt about the sneaky tricks the ANZAC'S did.I also learnt how to write a letter to a fallen soldier's family.
ReplyDeleteWhat I found most interesting was how the ANZACs sneakily ecscaped using rigged guns, getting rid of there heavy artillery by exploding them no louder than a gun shot, and tying sacks to there feet so they couldn't be heard walking on the pier out to the ships
ReplyDeleteThe most interesting thing I learnt about ANZAC was probably the Gallipoli landing where the ANZAC soldiers landed 2 km North of the planned landing site. This was due to poor visibility and miscommunication. Instead of landing on a flat beach the ANZAC's were met by steep cliffs with deep ravines.
ReplyDeleteIt was cool
ReplyDeletei have learnt a lot about ANZAC but my favorite part word have to be the secret retreat
ReplyDeleteI learnt all about what they did in the trenchers, also what food they ate. I learnt how to write a letter to a fallen soldiers family too.

ReplyDeleteI learnt lots of things about ANZAC but the some of the soldiers have eaten dirty food.
ReplyDeleteI learnt that they did the haka to scare the Turks away and how they had to dig the trenches
ReplyDeleteI learnt that the rations didn't come every 3 days like they were supposed to?
ReplyDeleteI learnt that most of the food was off when they ate it and they only got one bullet in their gun during each wave.
ReplyDeleteI learnt that they had animals for mascots in ww1
ReplyDeleteI learnt why new Zealand joined war. It was because they consider themselves British and they were part of the common wealth.
ReplyDeleteI learnt what went wrong and why....The ANZAC's landed 2 km after their destination because of poor leading skills from captains
ReplyDeleteThat there were lots of disease that caused casualties
ReplyDeleteWow this is a lot of learning and we need the last 8 class members to comment.
