  1. The rule in the video was when you are in trouble in the water don't wave but put your hand up.
Some of the other safety rules are... Swim between the flags, don't swim in the water if there are danger signs out, Listen to the lifeguard when they tell you something, Always have a adult with you, Slip slop slap and wrap, know the signs of a ripcurrent, If in doubt stay out,no hard boards in the flags area.
The coolest part of the day were the IRB, wading around the parents and dolphin dives, and the free swim.

  3. Leah and Keira are demonstrating surf safety rule of putting up your hand and not waving it because if you wave the Lifeguards think your simply waving to them and not in trouble where as if you put your hand straight up they know you are in trouble. That isn't really a rule but here are the other 10.
    -Listen to the Lifeguards.
    -consider other beach users.
    -Swim between the flags.
-Never go swimming when tired or hungry.
-Always have an adult watch you.
-Be able to identify a rip current.
-Never go down to the beach alone.
    -If in doubt stay out.
    -Be sun smart.
    -use the right equipment.
And my favourite part was probably wading through the parents because as well as being tiring it was also fun.
