Welcome to Room 6 2021 Blog. I am looking forward to developing a class of students who can do the following...“It’s only after you’ve stepped outside your comfort zone that you begin to change, grow, and transform.” Roy T. Bennett. This means to start to wonder about some amazing things in our world...more on 'Inquiry Learning' and 'Our People, Our Place, Our Connection' as we venture into the 2021 school year.

DeleteThis video is so inspiring, I will will remember to give my all in everything. A time where I had to believe in myself and keep going, was at one of my first step 4 competitions, I fell of the beam 5 times, and came last. Then at the end of the year, I didn't fall, off, got a really good mark, and won gold. It showed me that if you don't give up, your hard work and persistence will pay off.
ReplyDeleteKai pai Kaelyn. That is definitely grit!!
DeleteI had lots of times when I fell off 2 or 3 times as well, and it took me months to even be able to do the moves without being scared.
DeleteNice work Kaelyn. It takes a lot of perseverance to get back on the beam and heaps of grit to keep going.
DeleteNice work remember try , try again
DeleteThis video is so inspiring. I remember when I couldn't walk, I kept on falling and stumbling. Until finally after a lot of attempts I got it. This just shows to me to never give up and keep trying. Because hard work will always pay off!

DeleteTonight at dance my teacher wanted me to try a my dance to music and I tried and tried and eventually after a few attempts of getting the part that I kept messing up on wrong, I soon with a little push, got the speed right and got that part right.
DeleteBravo Jasmin - that is grit.
DeleteThis video is telling me that if you don't try you don't fail and you have to fail to get better at things.
ReplyDeleteSo Jemma what have you managed to over come and finally succeed in your learning?
ReplyDeleteIn 2015 I was asked to climb Mt Te Aroha. Three quarters of the way up I hit a wall and stopped because I just couldn't go any more! After I had a break, chocolate biscuit and water...I climbed on, one knoll at a time...thinking I can do this! A kind lady said only 10 minutes to the top which inspired me. Five minutes later I meet my group. They turned around and re-climbed with me up to the top! I finally got there and what a feeling - I did it!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAt rugby I had to get better at tackling and over time I'm finally able to be confident while I play rugby
