  4. Lest We Forget – three words renown across most countries to show our remembrance of those who have fought, and those who have died fighting for freedom. It means that we will never forget. In Canada, we honour the day by wearing poppies, a flower that bloomed throughout the fields of battle grounds in France and Belgium during World War I. The wearing of the symbol of the poppy was made popular due to the poem, Flanders Field, written by Canadian physician and Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae after witnessing his friend and fellow soldier struck down in the midst of battle in WWI.

  6. Lest we forget - meaning remember the soldiers that forget in war us and have sadly passed away. People wear poppies to remember the soldiers that fought for us.Poppies have become a symbol of our remembrance of those who lost their lives in wars and people wear them to show that they are remembering. A charity called the Poppy Appeal was set up to raise money for people whose lives have been affected by war. A man called Robert Laurence Binyon rote a poem called for the fallen and it was published in The Times newspaper on 21st September 1914.

  18. What lest we forget means to me is to show our remembrance to those soldiers who fought for our country. It means we will never forget. We honor this day by wearing a poppy, A flower that bloomed in the field of battle. By wearing this poppy it made the poem Flanders field popular written by a man who also lost his friend in WWI. So we can remember them.
